Bowl

Description

An exceptionally large 18th century turned ash bowl, having a slightly rounded, angled and stepped rim. As often found with ash items, it has a lovely pronounced grain, especially in its interior.
The patination is natural, it has not been wax polished. Bowls this size are extremely rare and this is a wonderful example, showing the skill of a competent turner, a real museum quality piece.
