Chest on stand

Description 

An exceptional George I walnut chest on stand.  The upper section having two short 
over three long drawers, the lower section with three short drawers, a shaped frieze and four cabriole legs terminating in pad feet.  The chest, which is veneered with highly figured and book-matched walnut veneers that have changed to an outstanding color and patination, retains its original brass handles and escutcheons.  The cornice and surbase having numerous mouldings to create a very intresting piece.
